How to Create and Share Your First Event on TixFox: A Step-by-Step Guide

Hello, and welcome to TixFox! In this guide, we'll walk you through how to quickly create your first event, add tickets, and share it with your audience—all within just a few minutes. By the end of this guide, you’ll have everything you need to start selling tickets and managing your event effortlessly.

Step 1: Getting Started with TixFox

If you’re new to TixFox, you’ll first need to create an account. Head over to the signup page on TixFox's website and complete the registration process. Since I already have an account, I'll log in and guide you through the steps for creating your first event.

Step 2: Accessing the Dashboard

Once you’re logged in, you’ll be directed to your TixFox dashboard. This is your central hub, where you can view all your events, ticket sales, and other essential information. If this is your first time using TixFox, your event list will be empty. Don’t worry; we’re about to change that!

Step 3: Creating Your First Event

To get started, click the "Create Event" button on the dashboard. This will open a form where you’ll enter your event’s details. Here's what you'll need to fill out:

  • Title: Name your event.

  • Description: Provide a brief description that highlights what attendees can expect.

  • Start and End Dates: Choose the event's date and time.

  • Time Zone: Set the correct time zone to ensure attendees have accurate information.

After entering all the required information, click "Create Event." And just like that, your event is now created!

Step 4: Adding Tickets to Your Event

With your event set up, the next step is to add tickets. Here's how:

  1. Open the event you just created.

  2. Navigate to the "Tickets" tab.

  3. Click the "Create Ticket" button.

You'll be prompted to enter details about your ticket, such as the ticket name, price, and quantity. For this demo, we’ll create a free ticket, but you can set up various ticket types depending on your event's needs. Once you’ve filled in the ticket details, click "Create Ticket."

And there you have it! You've successfully added a ticket to your event. Feel free to add more tickets later if needed, whether they're free, VIP, or general admission.

Step 5: Publishing Your Event

Now that your event and tickets are ready, it's time to make it public. To do this:

  1. Head back to the dashboard.

  2. Click the three-dot icon next to your event.

  3. Select "Publish Event."

Congratulations! Your event is now live and ready to be shared with your audience.

Step 6: Sharing Your Event with Your Audience

To sell tickets, you need to share your event with potential attendees. Here’s how to get your event link:

  • Copy the Event Link: On the dashboard, click the copy icon next to your event to copy the direct link.

  • Grab the QR Code: Alternatively, you can open the event page to find and download a QR code for sharing.

Once you have the link or QR code, you can share it through social media, emails, your website, or any other channels you use to reach your audience.

Step 7: The User's Ticket Purchase Experience

Let’s take a quick look at what your audience will see when they visit your event page. Here’s how the ticket purchase process works for them:

  1. View Event Details: Users will see all the event information you’ve provided, including date, location, and ticket options.

  2. Select Tickets: They can choose the ticket quantity they wish to purchase.

  3. Checkout: After selecting their tickets, they'll proceed to the checkout page to complete a simple form.

  4. Ticket Delivery: Once the purchase is complete, attendees will have options to add the event to their Apple Wallet, download the ticket, or access an email confirmation with all the event details and download links.
