How to Sell Event Tickets Through LinkedIn
Last updated at: Mar 8, 2026LinkedIn works best for professional events — conferences, networking nights, seminars, trade shows, and industry meetups. If that's your audience, it's one of the most targeted channels available. Here's how to connect it to your TixFox event.
1. Create a LinkedIn Event and Add Your Ticket Link
LinkedIn's Events feature has a dedicated Ticketing Website field — paste your TixFox event URL there and LinkedIn will display a ticket link directly on your event page.
From your Company Page:
Go to your LinkedIn Company Page
Click Admin Tools → Create an event
Fill in your event details (name, date, time, description, banner image)
In the Ticketing Website field, paste your TixFox event URL
Set Event Visibility and publish
From your personal profile:
Click Events in the left panel of your LinkedIn home screen
Click + Create and follow the same steps above
Once published, LinkedIn shows a "Register" or "Get Tickets" button on your event page that links directly to your TixFox checkout.
Note: Set your Event Visibility carefully before publishing — LinkedIn doesn't allow you to change it after the event is created.
2. Post Your Ticket Link Consistently
Your LinkedIn event page handles discoverability. Your feed posts drive urgency and conversions.
Share your LinkedIn Event to your Company Page feed at launch
Post updates as the event approaches — speaker announcements, agenda reveals, ticket availability
Include your TixFox link directly in each post caption — LinkedIn feed posts support clickable links
Ask speakers, sponsors, or co-organizers to share from their personal profiles — personal posts get significantly more reach than Company Page posts on LinkedIn
3. Track Which Posts Are Driving Sales
Create UTM-tagged versions of your TixFox link for each LinkedIn surface. TixFox's analytics will show you which one drove completed purchases.
Surface | UTM link |
|---|---|
LinkedIn Event (Ticketing field) |

4. Run LinkedIn Ads for Professional Audiences
LinkedIn ads cost more per click than Facebook or Instagram — typically $2–$6 per click — but convert better for professional and B2B events because the targeting is more precise.
Key targeting options:
Job title and seniority — reach decision-makers, managers, or specific roles relevant to your event
Industry — target professionals in exactly the sectors your event serves
Company size — useful if your event targets startups vs. enterprise, for example
Send all ad traffic directly to your TixFox event page. Use your event banner or a real photo from a past event as your ad creative — not a designed graphic.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does LinkedIn have a direct ticketing integration with TixFox? LinkedIn's Events feature includes a Ticketing Website field where you paste any external ticketing URL — including your TixFox event link. There's no exclusive platform partnership required.
Is LinkedIn worth it for non-professional events? LinkedIn is most effective for professional events: conferences, workshops, networking events, industry meetups, and trade shows. For consumer events like music festivals or community markets, Facebook and Instagram will reach a more relevant audience.
Can I sell tickets directly inside LinkedIn? No. LinkedIn links to your external ticketing page — buyers complete their purchase on TixFox. There's no native in-app ticket checkout on LinkedIn.
