38th edition · Oct 23–25, 2026 at Richmond Tattoo & Arts Convention

Every October since 1988, the Richmond Tattoo & Arts Convention has taken over the Koger Center in Richmond, Virginia — three days of live tattooing across every style, competitions, live art painted for charity, and a marketplace of some 70 vendors, drawing around 3,500 people. It's the longest-running tattoo convention in the world, and its tickets run on TixFox.

Marketing you can measure

A lineup this size takes a lot of promotion. The 2026 edition is hosted by Ink Master winners Jesse Smith and Ryan Ashley, and the convention promotes across social channels, artist announcements, and email all year — which raises the question every marketing team asks: which of it actually sells tickets?

For Sam Dakart, who handles marketing for the convention, that's where TixFox earns its place. “The very best part is the super easy revenue source tracking,” he wrote in his review. “You can use UTM codes to track all of your clicks and sales.” Every campaign link carries a UTM tag, and every sale reports back to the source that produced it.

Low fees where they matter most

Richmond's tickets range from day passes up to a $725 VIP Ultra package, and on tickets like those, ticketing fees are real money. “The fees they take are by far the lowest I've come across, giving our attendees more buying power to get our pricier ticket options,” Sam wrote.

The rest of the platform held up alongside the price: support that answers quickly, and requested features that actually shipped — many of the tools the team asked for were added to the product.

Their customer support is super responsive, and they've added many of the features I requested. I've worked with a handful of other ticketing platforms, and this one has been the best for our needs.
