Updated October 2026: rewritten with Peatix's current fees by country, checked against its pricing pages and help center on October 8, 2026.
Peatix is free until you sell a paid ticket. Free events cost nothing, and Peatix charges no monthly, service or registration fees. Its US page adds no contracts. Its US pricing page lists free community tools too, like followers and messages to them.
The ticket fee depends on where your event is. In the US, Peatix charges a 5% platform fee, with Stripe's card fee on top. Almost everywhere else, it's 4.9% plus a flat amount per ticket, with card processing included. Outside the US, your buyers can't be charged that fee, and you're paid after the event. Here's what that costs, country by country, and where TixFox costs less.
How much does Peatix charge? In the US, Peatix charges a 5% platform fee on paid tickets, and Stripe adds its card fee of about 2.9% + 30¢. In other countries, Peatix charges 4.9% plus a flat fee per ticket, card processing included: £0.99 in the UK, €0.99 in the euro countries it lists, S$0.99 in Singapore, NZ$1.50 in New Zealand and ¥99 in Japan. Free tickets are free.
How Peatix's pricing works
Peatix publishes its fees in a country table, with a separate US pricing page:
- United States: 5% platform fee on paid tickets, plus Stripe's card fee
- United Kingdom: 4.9% + £0.99 per ticket
- Euro countries it lists (Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Spain): 4.9% + €0.99 per ticket
- Singapore: 4.9% + S$0.99 per ticket
- New Zealand: 4.9% + NZ$1.50 per ticket
- Japan: 4.9% + ¥99 per ticket
Outside the US, those fees include card processing, and Peatix says ticket buyers "will only pay the ticket price and will not be charged any booking fees." That's simple for buyers, but it means the whole fee comes out of your ticket price. If a discount code makes a ticket free, there's no fee.
What a ticket costs in the US
TixFox charges 39¢ per ticket ($0.30 under $5), plus the same Stripe fee of 2.9% + 30¢. Peatix's 5% and TixFox's 39¢ meet at about $7.70.
On a one-ticket order:
- $10 ticket: $1.09 on Peatix, $0.98 on TixFox
- $25 ticket: $2.28 against $1.42
- $50 ticket: $4.25 against $2.14
- $100 ticket: $8.20 against $3.59
Below about $7.70, Peatix costs less. A $5 ticket comes to $0.70 on Peatix and $0.84 on TixFox. On 1,000 one-ticket orders a year at $25, Peatix's fees come to $2,280 and TixFox's to $1,420.
What a ticket costs in the UK and Europe
In the UK, TixFox charges £0.38 per ticket (£0.30 under £5) plus Stripe's 1.5% + 20p for standard UK cards. In euros, it's €0.39 (€0.30 under €5) plus Stripe's 1.5% + €0.25 for standard European cards, the same rate in all nine euro countries Peatix lists. TixFox costs less than Peatix at every ticket price in both, for the euro countries Peatix lists.
- £10 ticket: £1.48 on Peatix, £0.73 on TixFox
- £20 ticket: £1.97 against £0.88
- £50 ticket: £3.44 against £1.33
- €20 ticket: €1.97 on Peatix, €0.94 on TixFox
On 1,000 one-ticket orders at £20, that's £1,970 in Peatix fees against £880 on TixFox.
Singapore, New Zealand and Japan
Singapore is close. Peatix's 4.9% + S$0.99 meets TixFox's S$0.64 plus Stripe's 3.4% + S$0.50. Peatix costs less from about S$6 to just under S$10 a ticket, the two are level at S$10, and TixFox costs less below and above that, because TixFox drops to S$0.45 on tickets under S$6. A S$30 ticket costs S$2.46 on Peatix and S$2.16 on TixFox.
New Zealand isn't close. Peatix's NZ$1.50 flat fee is higher than TixFox's NZ$0.85 plus Stripe's 30 cents, so TixFox costs less at every price. A NZ$25 ticket comes to NZ$2.73 on Peatix and NZ$1.81 on TixFox.
Japan is a market Peatix prices for in yen, at 4.9% + ¥99 per ticket. TixFox doesn't list yen among its 18 currencies, so for events sold in yen, Peatix is the one of the two that fits.
When you get paid
Outside the US, Peatix pays "within 5 business days after your event has finished," and its help center says payout "cannot be made before event end date." In Singapore and Japan, the money goes to a local bank account. Everywhere else in its table, including the UK, the euro countries and New Zealand, it goes to your PayPal account. Peatix's US pricing page names Stripe as its processor but doesn't say when you're paid.
On TixFox, each sale goes into your own Stripe account as it happens, and TixFox never holds the money. You also choose who pays the fee, for each ticket type. Pass it on, and a $25 ticket costs the buyer $26.46 while you receive the full $25.
One more cost to know about outside the US: if you refund a paid ticket that was bought more than 50 days earlier, Peatix charges the buyer a cancellation fee in the countries in its table, such as £5, €5 or NZ$5. Singapore events are exempt.
What one organizer says about TixFox
A low fee only helps if the platform keeps up with your event. Sydney Finley wrote on Trustpilot in August 2026 that TixFox is "very responsive to adding new features" and has "been a great addition to our event."

When Peatix is the better choice
- You sell events in Japan, in yen.
- Your US tickets cost under about $7.70, or your Singapore tickets about S$6 to S$10.
- You want Peatix's community tools: followers, messages to followers and listing in Peatix Search.
- You run token-gated events, which its US page lists at 0%.
- Outside the US, you want buyers to see one all-in price and are happy to cover the fee yourself.
When TixFox costs less
- UK, euro and New Zealand events, at every ticket price.
- US tickets over about $7.70: on a $50 ticket, $2.14 against $4.25.
- Money before the event: TixFox sales go into your Stripe account as they happen. Outside the US, Peatix pays after the event, by PayPal except in Singapore and Japan.
- Passing the fee on: you can let buyers pay it and receive the full ticket price.
We've done the same math for Luma, which also charges 5% on top of Stripe, and for Ticket Tailor.
To try TixFox, create a free account, connect Stripe and put your first event on sale. Free events cost $0, and paid tickets are 39¢, £0.38, €0.39 or S$0.64 each (less on cheap tickets), plus Stripe's card processing. See TixFox pricing.
