Updated October 2026: rewritten with Eventbee's current plans and fees, checked against its pricing page and FAQ on October 8, 2026.
Eventbee's pitch is a flat fee: $1 a ticket on its Basic plan, whatever the ticket costs. That part is true. But it's not the whole bill. Since February 2024, Eventbee also charges your attendees a 1% booking fee on every purchase, and card processing is separate.
The plan you pick matters too. Discount codes start on the $1.50 Pro plan, and reserved seating on the $2.50 Advanced plan. Here's what each plan costs, what it includes, and how it compares with TixFox's 39¢ a ticket.
How much does Eventbee charge? Eventbee charges a service fee of $1 per ticket on its Basic plan, $1.50 on Pro, $2.50 on Advanced and $3.50 on Business, whatever the ticket price. It also collects a 1% booking fee from attendees on the total purchase. Card processing is extra: around 2.9% + 30¢ with your own Stripe or PayPal account, or 4.95% + 50¢ with Eventbee's. There's no setup fee, monthly fee or contract.
How Eventbee's pricing works
Eventbee's pricing page has four ticketing plans, each with a flat service fee per ticket:
- Basic: $1 per ticket, for tickets up to $100, with 3 ticket types
- Pro: $1.50 per ticket, for tickets up to $500, with up to 10 ticket types and discount codes
- Advanced: $2.50 per ticket, for tickets up to $1,000, adding reserved seating, a waitlist, private ticketing and custom registration forms
- Business: $3.50 per ticket, with no price limit, unlimited ticket types, sub managers and attendee emails
On top of the service fee, Eventbee collects a 1% booking fee from attendees on the total purchase. Its FAQ says it added the fee in February 2024 to cover rising operating costs.
For card processing, you can connect PayPal, Braintree, Stripe or Authorize.net, which Eventbee says charge "around 2.9% + 30c onwards." Or you can use Eventbee's own processing, at 4.95% + 50¢. Nonprofits can apply for 25¢ off the Pro, Advanced and Business plans.
What one ticket costs on Eventbee
TixFox charges 39¢ per ticket ($0.30 under $5) plus Stripe's 2.9% + 30¢. To compare fairly, we've used Stripe on both and counted everything paid on top of the ticket price: Eventbee's service fee, its 1% booking fee and the card fee.
On a one-ticket order:
- $10 ticket: $1.69 on Eventbee Basic, $2.19 on Pro, $0.98 on TixFox
- $25 ticket: $2.28, $2.78 and $1.42
- $50 ticket: $3.26, $3.76 and $2.14
- $100 ticket: $5.23, $5.73 and $3.59
Eventbee's flat fee doesn't grow with the ticket price, which is the point of it. But its lowest service fee, $1, is already more than TixFox's 39¢, and the 1% booking fee does grow with the price. So TixFox comes in lower at every price, on every Eventbee plan.
If you use Eventbee's own card processing instead of Stripe, a $25 ticket on Basic carries $3.00 in fees.
What 39¢ includes on TixFox
On Eventbee, some everyday tools cost more per ticket. You need Pro for discount codes, and Advanced for private ticketing and custom registration questions.
TixFox charges the same 39¢ whichever of these you use. Its FAQ lists as many ticket tiers as your event needs, discount codes, custom checkout fields and passcode-protected events, plus a free check-in app for iOS and Android. You choose who pays the fee for each ticket type.
A season of tickets, and when you're paid
Say you sell 1,000 tickets a year at $25, one per order, and you want discount codes, so you're on Eventbee Pro. Fees come to $2,780, including $250 in booking fees your attendees pay. On TixFox, they come to $1,420.
How Eventbee collects its fee depends on your setup. If attendees pay the service fee, Eventbee says that money goes to you, and it sends weekly invoices to collect its fee.
When you get paid depends on the processor. With your own PayPal, Braintree, Stripe or Authorize.net account, Eventbee says money goes to your account instantly. With Eventbee's processing, 90% is mailed by check in the first week of the month after your event closes, and the other 10% follows 60 days later. On TixFox, each sale goes into your own Stripe account as it happens, and TixFox never holds the money.
What one organizer says about TixFox
A marketing director at a small business, listed as Sam D., reviewed TixFox on G2 in August 2026: "The fees on TixFox are way lower, and their customer support is top-notch. They have added so many extra features per our request and are great to work with."

When Eventbee is the better choice
- You sell in a currency TixFox doesn't, like yen. Eventbee lists prices in dozens of currencies and says it supports 130.
- You want to take payments through PayPal, Braintree or Authorize.net, or a local processor like PayU or Razorpay.
- You need reserved seating now. It's on Eventbee's Advanced plan, with a one-time $199.95 fee to digitize your seating. TixFox's reserved seating is coming soon.
- You want attendee payment plans, ID scanning or attendee badges, which come with Eventbee's Advanced plan.
When TixFox costs less
- Every ticket price, on every Eventbee plan: $1.42 against $2.28 on a $25 ticket, even on Eventbee Basic.
- No booking fee for your attendees on top of the ticket and fee you set.
- Discount codes and private events at the same 39¢, instead of moving up to Eventbee's Pro or Advanced plan.
We've done the same math for Ticketbud and TicketLeap, which also charge per ticket.
To try TixFox, create a free account, connect Stripe and put your first event on sale. Free events cost $0, and paid tickets are 39¢ each ($0.30 under $5) plus Stripe's card processing. See TixFox pricing.
