ThunderTix Fees in 2026: Every Plan From $0.65 a Ticket

Updated October 2026: rewritten with ThunderTix's 2026 plans, checked against its pricing page on October 8, 2026.

ThunderTix charges a flat fee per ticket instead of a percentage, so its fee doesn't grow when your ticket price does. Most of its plans add a monthly fee too. General Admission is $1 a ticket and $20 a month. Reserved Seating is $1.25 and $25 a month. White Glove is $1.95 and $195 a month. A new K12 Schools plan swaps the monthly fee for $0.65 a ticket plus 3.5%, with card processing included.

Here's what each plan costs in a real month, how card processing works, and how it compares with TixFox's 39¢ a ticket.

How much does ThunderTix charge? ThunderTix charges $1 per ticket plus $20 a month on its General Admission plan, $1.25 plus $25 a month for Reserved Seating, and $1.95 plus $195 a month for White Glove. Each monthly fee includes a set number of tickets. K12 schools pay $0.65 per ticket plus 3.5%, with Stripe processing included and no monthly fee. On the other plans, card processing is extra.

How ThunderTix's pricing works

ThunderTix's pricing page lists four plans for 2026:

  • K12 Schools: $0.65 per ticket + 3.5% of ticket sales, no monthly fee. The 3.5% includes Stripe's card processing, and your school has to use its own Stripe account.
  • General Admission: $1 per ticket, $20 a month, which includes your first 20 tickets
  • Reserved Seating: $1.25 per ticket, $25 a month, which includes your first 20 tickets
  • White Glove: $1.95 per ticket, $195 a month, which includes your first 100 tickets, plus a free seating chart and account setup

The monthly fee works out to those first tickets at the plan's rate: 20 tickets at $1 is $20. So in a month, you pay the monthly fee plus the per-ticket fee on every ticket after the ones it includes.

A few other charges are on the same page. ThunderTix builds custom seating charts for a one-time fee of $0.55 per seat, with a $250 minimum, on the Reserved Seating plan. Card donations, gift cards, merchandise and memberships each carry a 2% fee. Every plan includes nightly payouts and unlimited human support.

ThunderTix's four plans and TixFox. K12 Schools: $0.65 + 3.5% per ticket, no monthly fee, card processing included. General Admission: $1.00, $20 a month with the first 20 tickets included, your gateway's fee. Reserved Seating: $1.25, $25 a month with 20 included, your gateway's fee. White Glove: $1.95, $195 a month with 100 included, your gateway's fee. TixFox: 39 cents, 30 cents under $5, no monthly fee, Stripe 2.9% + 30 cents

Card processing on ThunderTix

Outside the K12 plan, ThunderTix's fee doesn't include card processing. You connect a payment gateway, such as Stripe, Square or Authorize.net, and pay its fee on each card sale. ThunderTix's own support forum uses Stripe as the example: 2.9% plus a $0.30 transaction fee. You can pass that fee to buyers as a separate line at checkout.

That makes the comparison simple. TixFox runs on Stripe too, at the same 2.9% + 30¢ in the US. If you use Stripe on both, the card fee is the same, and the difference is ThunderTix's per-ticket and monthly fees against TixFox's 39¢.

What ThunderTix's fees cost in a month

On the General Admission plan, here's what platform fees come to in a month, before card processing:

Platform fees in one month on ThunderTix's General Admission plan vs TixFox. 20 tickets: $20 vs $7.80. 100 tickets: $100 vs $39. 300 tickets: $300 vs $117. 600 tickets: $600 vs $234
  • 20 tickets: $20 on ThunderTix, $7.80 on TixFox
  • 100 tickets: $100 against $39
  • 300 tickets: $300 against $117
  • 600 tickets: $600 against $234

A community theater selling 300 tickets a month would pay $183 less a month on TixFox, or $2,196 over a year. On the Reserved Seating plan, the same 300 tickets cost $375 a month in ThunderTix fees.

One detail in the fine print: tickets that are part of a season pass or flex pass, or discounted to $0 with a coupon or gift card, count toward your monthly ticket totals. Comped $0 tickets on single events, and tickets to fully free events, don't. On TixFox, free events cost nothing.

ThunderTix's K12 rate for schools

The K12 Schools plan is new for 2026, and it's the closest ThunderTix gets to TixFox on price. It's $0.65 a ticket plus 3.5%, card processing included. TixFox is 39¢ plus Stripe's 2.9% + 30¢.

On a single ticket from $5 to $8, the two land within a cent of each other, and K12 comes out a cent lower at some prices. On a $12 ticket, it's $1.07 on K12 and $1.04 on TixFox.

The bigger difference shows up when families buy together. Stripe's 30¢ applies once per order, while K12's 65¢ applies to every ticket. Four $12 tickets in one order come to $4.28 in K12 fees and $3.25 on TixFox.

ThunderTix's K12 rate vs TixFox, fees on one order with card processing included. One $12 ticket: ThunderTix K12 $1.07, TixFox $1.04. Four $12 tickets: $4.28 vs $3.25, $1.03 less on TixFox

What one organizer says about TixFox's fees

Sam Dakart, who handles marketing for the Richmond Tattoo & Arts Convention, put it this way on Trustpilot in July 2026: "the fees they take are by far the lowest I've come across, giving our attendees more buying power to get our pricier ticket options."

When ThunderTix is the better choice

ThunderTix's seating tools are where it stands out.

  • You need reserved seating now, with tables, boxes, balconies, curves and ADA companion seats. TixFox's reserved seating is coming soon.
  • You want ThunderTix's team to build your seating chart for you, or on White Glove, your ticket templates and event pages too.
  • You run a K12 school and want reserved seating with one all-in rate that includes card processing.
  • You want thermal ticket printing for walk-up sales, or a payment gateway other than Stripe, such as Square or Authorize.net.

When TixFox costs less

  • Every month on General Admission: 39¢ a ticket against $1, with no $20 monthly fee. At 300 tickets a month, $183 less.
  • School orders with more than one ticket: $3.25 against $4.28 on four $12 tickets.
  • No monthly fee: TixFox's FAQ says there are no monthly fees, setup costs or contracts.

If you're weighing a move, here's what switching from ThunderTix to TixFox looks like. We've run the same numbers for Tix, another box office system with reserved seating, and Ticketbud.

To try TixFox, create a free account, connect Stripe and put your first event on sale. Free events cost $0, and paid tickets are 39¢ each ($0.30 under $5) plus Stripe's card processing. See TixFox pricing.
