Ticket Fairy Fees in 2026: What Your Buyers Really Pay

Updated October 2026. Fees checked against Ticket Fairy's pricing page on October 8, 2026.

A $10 ticket on Ticket Fairy costs your buyer $12. A $50 ticket costs $55. You keep the full ticket price in both cases, because the fee is added on top at checkout. That makes the fee easy to ignore on your side.

Your buyers notice. Below are Ticket Fairy's US fees from its own pricing page, what buyers pay from $5 to $250, how that compares with TixFox, and what Ticket Fairy includes for the fee.

How much does Ticket Fairy charge? In the US, Ticket Fairy adds a service fee to every paid ticket: a flat $2.00 on tickets under $20, 10% from $20 to $99.99, 9% from $100 to $249.99 and 8% from $250 up. Card processing is included, buyers pay the fee by default, and free tickets cost nothing.

How Ticket Fairy's pricing works

Ticket Fairy charges one fee per paid ticket, and that fee covers its platform, card processing and customer service for your buyers. There's no setup fee and no required monthly fee. According to its pricing page, the US fee depends on the ticket price:

  • Under $20: a flat $2.00
  • $20 to $99.99: 10% of the ticket price
  • $100 to $249.99: 9%
  • $250 and up: 8%
  • Free tickets: no fee

Every paid ticket carries at least $2.00. Ticket Fairy notes that taxes, optional services, bank instalments and custom agreements can change the total, so a big festival with a negotiated deal may pay something different.

By default, the buyer pays the fee on top of the ticket price. Ticket Fairy calls that Added. You can switch an event to Absorbed, where the buyer pays the price on your poster and the fee comes out of what you receive, or Added Later, where the fee only appears at checkout.

What your buyers pay at each ticket price

On TixFox, the fee is $0.39 per ticket plus Stripe's card processing, 2.9% + 30¢ per order in the US. When you pass the fees on, the checkout works out the processing so you still receive the full ticket price. In the examples below, you keep the ticket price on both platforms. The difference is what the buyer pays on top.

What a buyer pays on top of the ticket, card processing included. $10 ticket: Ticket Fairy adds $2.00, TixFox $1.01. $25 ticket: $2.50 and $1.46. $50 ticket: $5.00 and $2.20. $100 ticket: $9.00 and $3.70

For a one-ticket order:

  • $10 ticket: $12.00 on Ticket Fairy, $11.01 on TixFox
  • $20 ticket: $22.00 on Ticket Fairy, $21.31 on TixFox
  • $25 ticket: $27.50 on Ticket Fairy, $26.46 on TixFox
  • $50 ticket: $55.00 on Ticket Fairy, $52.20 on TixFox
  • $100 ticket: $109.00 on Ticket Fairy, $103.70 on TixFox
  • $250 ticket: $270.00 on Ticket Fairy, $258.18 on TixFox

Both columns include card processing. Taxes and optional extras can change the total.

The $2 minimum on low-priced tickets

A flat minimum is easy to explain and hard on low prices. On a $5 ticket, Ticket Fairy's $2.00 is 40% of the price. On a $10 ticket, it's 20%.

Fee as a share of the ticket price. Ticket Fairy: 40% on a $5 ticket, 20% on $10, 10% on $20 to $50, 9% on $100, 8% on $250. TixFox: 17.2%, 10.1%, 6.6%, 5.8%, 4.4%, 3.7% and 3.3%

TixFox's share is high on a $5 ticket too, at 17.2%, because Stripe's fixed 30¢ is a big slice of a small payment. The gap is still wide: a buyer pays $7.00 for that ticket on Ticket Fairy and $5.86 on TixFox. If you run open mics, community screenings or anything priced under $20, this is where the difference shows up in your buyers' carts.

Above $20, Ticket Fairy's fee settles at 10% and drops to 9% and 8% for expensive tickets. TixFox's share keeps falling as the price rises, because its fee is a fixed 39 cents plus Stripe's 2.9%.

Across a whole show

A dollar or two per ticket adds up fast.

Total fees with card processing included. 300 tickets at $30, fees paid by buyers: Ticket Fairy $900, TixFox $483, or $435 if buyers order in pairs. One order of four $25 tickets with fees absorbed: Ticket Fairy $10.00, TixFox $4.76

A 300-ticket show at $30 a ticket puts $900 of Ticket Fairy fees on your buyers. On TixFox the same show comes to $483 if everyone buys one ticket, and $435 if they buy in pairs, since Stripe's 30¢ is charged once per order, not per ticket.

When buyers pay the fees, that $417 stays with them instead of going to checkout fees. That matters most when your crowd is watching every dollar.

If you absorb the fees instead

Some organizers want one clean price on the poster. In that case the fee comes out of your share, and the gap is yours:

  • $25 ticket: you keep $22.50 on Ticket Fairy, $23.58 on TixFox
  • $50 ticket: $45.00 on Ticket Fairy, $47.86 on TixFox
  • $100 ticket: $91.00 on Ticket Fairy, $96.41 on TixFox

A family buying four $25 tickets in one order costs you $10.00 in Ticket Fairy fees, and $4.76 on TixFox: four times 39 cents plus $3.20 in card processing on the $100 order.

How you see the fees at checkout

On TixFox, buyers see the ticket price, then the TixFox fee and the processing fee as separate lines, before they pay. You choose per ticket type whether to pass the fees on or absorb them.

Real TixFox checkout for two $25 tickets and an $8 drink voucher: the order summary shows a subtotal of $58, a TixFox fee of $1.17, a payment processing fee of $2.08 and a total of $61.25

On this order from our demo event, the buyer paid $61.25 and the organizer received $58. On Ticket Fairy, the two $25 tickets alone would carry $5.00 in fees.

How you get paid

Ticket Fairy gives you two options. You can link your own payment account, Stripe (or Xendit in Indonesia and the Philippines), and get paid daily while tickets sell. Or you can choose to be paid after your event, with Ticket Fairy collecting the card payments and holding them until then. The second option needs no setup, which is handy for a first event, but the payout comes after the event.

On TixFox, every sale goes straight into your own Stripe account, and TixFox never holds your money. Stripe then pays out to your bank on its normal schedule. Our guide to selling tickets with Stripe has the payout timing.

What Ticket Fairy's fee pays for

Price isn't the only thing to compare. Ticket Fairy's site leads with festivals, nightclubs and concerts, and its fee covers more than the sale itself:

  • Customer service for your buyers. Ticket Fairy answers your ticket buyers' questions for you.
  • Referral rewards. Every buyer gets a personal link and can earn back part of their ticket price, or all of it, when friends buy through it. You set the rewards, and they come out of your ticket revenue.
  • Payment plans. Fans can pay a deposit and the rest weekly or monthly.
  • Face-value resale and waiting lists. A fan who can't come sells the ticket back through Ticket Fairy at the original price.
  • Reserved seating and timed entry. TixFox reserved seating is coming soon, but Ticket Fairy has it now.
  • Apple Pay and pay-later options. With Stripe connected, Ticket Fairy lists Apple Pay, Afterpay and Clearpay.

Card processing is also part of Ticket Fairy's fee. On TixFox, Stripe charges an extra 1.5% on international cards, so if many of your buyers pay with cards from abroad, the gap narrows a little.

Outside the US

Ticket Fairy uses the same 10%, 9% and 8% steps in other countries, with different minimums:

  • United Kingdom: £1 minimum on tickets under £10
  • Australia: A$2 under A$15, A$2.50 from A$15 to A$25
  • New Zealand: NZ$2 under NZ$15, NZ$2.50 from NZ$15 to NZ$25
  • Canada: CA$2 under CA$20

TixFox's fee in those currencies is £0.38, A$0.64, NZ$0.85 and CA$0.56 per ticket, and lower on cheap tickets (£0.30 under £5, for example), plus Stripe's card fee for your country, listed on Stripe's pricing page. Ticket Fairy's figures include card processing and TixFox's don't, so run the numbers on your usual ticket price before you decide.

What one organizer says about TixFox

A low fee only helps if the platform keeps up with your event. Sydney Finley wrote on Trustpilot in August 2026 that TixFox is "very responsive to adding new features" and has "been a great addition to our event."
