Updated October 2026: rewritten with TicketSpice's current pricing, checked against its pricing page on October 8, 2026.
TicketSpice's pricing fits in one line: 99 cents a ticket plus 2.9% + 30¢ for card processing. It's easy to read, and in every example below it costs less than Eventbrite.
The line leaves a few things out. Free tickets aren't always free. Using your own Stripe account costs extra. And 99 cents a ticket is still 60 cents more than TixFox, which adds up to $600 on every thousand tickets. Here's what the fees look like once you add them up.
How much does TicketSpice charge? TicketSpice charges a flat 99¢ per ticket plus 2.9% + 30¢ card processing. Tickets under $5 drop to 49¢, and so do paid tickets sold in its box office app. There are no setup fees or contracts, and TicketSpice deducts its fees from your weekly payouts.
How TicketSpice's pricing works
TicketSpice lists these fees on its pricing page:
- 99¢ per ticket, plus standard card processing of 2.9% + 30¢
- 49¢ per ticket on tickets under $5 (its FAQ says $5 or less), and on paid tickets sold through its box office app
- No setup, support or annual fees, and no contracts
- Fees come out of your payouts, which TicketSpice sends to your bank weekly
You can absorb the fees or pass them on to buyers, and TicketSpice lets you add your own convenience fee on top and keep all of it.
Card processing normally runs through TicketSpice's own processor, Webconnex Payments. You can use Stripe, Authorize.net or a few others instead, but TicketSpice charges 1% + 25¢ per transaction for that, on top of the processor's own fee.
What one ticket costs you
TicketSpice and TixFox both charge 2.9% + 30¢ for card processing on a US card, so the only difference is the platform fee: 99 cents against 39.
On a one-ticket order, with you absorbing the fees:
- $10 ticket: $1.58 on TicketSpice, $0.98 on TixFox
- $25 ticket: $2.02 on TicketSpice, $1.42 on TixFox
- $50 ticket: $2.74 on TicketSpice, $2.14 on TixFox
- $100 ticket: $4.19 on TicketSpice, $3.59 on TixFox
On cheap tickets the gap shrinks. A $4 ticket costs $0.91 on TicketSpice and $0.72 on TixFox, because TicketSpice drops to 49¢ and TixFox to 30¢ under $5.
Across a year, 60 cents a ticket becomes real money:
- 500 tickets: $495 in TicketSpice fees, $195 on TixFox
- 1,000 tickets: $990 against $390
- 5,000 tickets: $4,950 against $1,950
- 10,000 tickets: $9,900 against $3,900
That's the platform fee alone, for tickets over $5. Card processing is the same on both.
TicketSpice vs Ticket Tailor and Eventbrite
Here's the same $25 ticket on Ticket Tailor and Eventbrite too.
TicketSpice costs far less than Eventbrite's 3.7% + $1.79 service fee per ticket plus 2.9% processing on this example, and the gap grows with the ticket price. Against Ticket Tailor, it's a little more expensive: Ticket Tailor charges 85 cents a ticket pay as you go, or less if you prepay. Our breakdown of Ticket Tailor's fees has the prepaid numbers.
Two costs not in the headline price
Free events, if they're all you run. TicketSpice's FAQ says organizers who run paid events can run free events for free. If you only run free events, it's 99¢ a ticket. A community group issuing 500 free tickets a year would pay $495. On TixFox, a free event costs nothing, even if free events are all you run.
Your own Stripe account. If you already use Stripe and want to keep it, TicketSpice adds 1% + 25¢ to every transaction. On a $25 ticket that's another 50 cents, for $2.52 in total. TixFox uses your own connected Stripe account, at Stripe's normal rate, with no extra fee for it.
What else TicketSpice charges for
These TicketSpice items cost extra:
- Email marketing: $9 a month plus 2¢ per recipient. Order confirmation emails are free.
- Text messaging: $19 a month plus 2¢ per recipient
- Your own domain for ticket pages: $150 a year
- Cashless payments on site: 25¢ per transaction
- Data enrichment on your buyers: $9 a month plus 10¢ per record
When you get paid
TicketSpice pays out weekly, before your event, straight to your bank account, with its fees already taken off. That matters if you need ticket money before the big day.
On TixFox, each sale goes into your own Stripe account as it happens, and TixFox never holds the money. In the US, Stripe makes card payments available for payout after about 2 business days and then pays them to your bank on your schedule, so money from early sales reaches you well before the event. Our guide to selling tickets with Stripe has the timing.
What one organizer says about TixFox's fees
Here's one organizer's take on TixFox's fees. Sam Dakart, who handles marketing for the Richmond Tattoo & Arts Convention, left this review on Trustpilot in July 2026: "the fees they take are by far the lowest I've come across, giving our attendees more buying power to get our pricier ticket options."

TicketSpice lists several features that some organizers rely on. It may fit better if:
- You need reserved seating now. TixFox's is coming soon.
- You want conditional logic, text-message tickets, card-on-file registration or an API with webhooks.
- You sell at a box office and take cash as well as cards.
- You want to add your own convenience fee and keep all of it.
When TixFox costs less
- Paid tickets over $5: 39 cents against 99, or $600 less per thousand tickets. Under $5, it's 30 cents against 49.
- Free-only events: $0 on TixFox, 99¢ a ticket on TicketSpice if you don't also run paid events.
- Your own Stripe: no extra 1% + 25¢ per transaction.
- Door sales: TixFox's Tap to Pay takes cards on an iPhone or Android phone, with no card reader.
